TOM W. WILLIAMS, JR. - CPA Chief Executive Officer
Tom is the CEO and founder of Williams, Adley & Company, LLP. Since founding the firm in 1982, he expanded
the firm's geographical reach from Oakland and San Francisco, California to Washington, D.C. where he has managed the delivery of
services to local businesses and individuals, as well as federal, state, and local government agencies. Since launching his career in
public accounting 30 years ago, Tom has acquired extensive management experience that ranges from managing the growth of a two-person
firm in 1982 to overseeing the continued expansion of a three-office firm with over 100 professionals today.
Tom's early career in public accounting began in 1972, where he worked in KPMG's San Francisco Office, as well as its New York City
Headquarters where he participated in a professional development program that placed him on a fast track to partnership. Tom left KPMG
in 1980, when he began his entrepreneurial career.
As CEO, Tom has steadfastly expanded WA&Co's capability in management and business consulting, facilities management and operations support services. He has vast experience planning and managing outsourcing engagements, operating large accounting and financial service centers, and providing management consulting services for large and small-scale entities.
Under Tom's leadership, WA&Co has received numerous honors and recognition from the local business community, and federal and local
governmental agencies. Among others, Tom was honored by the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) as its "Small Business Entrepreneur
of the Year". He is one of the founding directors of the San Francisco Chapter of NABA and formerly served as its President. Tom is also an
active member of NABA's Division of Firms and has served on the Committee on Government Auditing within the California Society of Certified Public
Accountants.
Tom is a California licensed Certified Public Accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Armstrong College - Berkeley,
California, and he has attended numerous executive leadership seminars and workshops across the country.
